LIZ CLAIBORNE London

Located across from Liberty department store on Regent Street, the façade incorporates anodized bronze mullions and upper-floor window planters. The mullions, inspired by the Liberty facade, create an architectural leitmotif carried throughout. Fixtures, Furniture and palette are derived from the LizView Identity in the US and elevated for the flagship location. Residential cues are reinforced on all floors creating intimate and comfortable vignettes for collections.

Proprietary materials used in the New York City
flagship and national roll-out bring texture through the space while subtly reinforcing the Liz brand - defining a Liz Claiborne space through materials and lighting, rather than campaign graphics. A central axis directs customers toward the rear of the store where a grand stair and mezzanine create an atrium-like focal point. To break up the long, narrow footprint, sinuous curves break a grid of terrazzo on the ground floor. To entice the younger demographic frequenting Regent Street, the ground floor houses the Casual collection. Luminous blue tinted walls, white terrazzo flooring, and sleek, airy fixtures are youthful and contemporary. Floating box shelves in soft blue hues offer additional areas for product display as their repeating linear forms articulate the space.

Upstairs, the polished Career collection is signaled through refined materials, historical detailing and vignettes with plush seating and soft curtains. Gold walls surround a terrazzo border and inset carpeting. Vertical gray elm panels provide a neutral yet defined backdrop for garments. The same floating box display system as downstairs is lined with soft gold hues here.

"The Regent Street location is intimate and accessible. It's not a temple to the brand, but an invitation. We're incredibly pleased with the outcome of the design." - Brad Lenz, VP Store Planning and Design
